In-Person Orientation
Fall 2024聽Discover Orientation听补苍诲听Tech Tools 101聽sessions are now full. Our聽Virtual Discover Orientation聽is available for students who were unable to attend one of our in-person sessions. Please join us for聽Explore聽on Thursday, August 22 or Friday, August 23. This is a drop-in event from 10 AM – 4 PM.
Virtual Discover Orientation
A virtual orientation program is now available!
The Virtual Discover Orientation is accessible through Canvas. To access it and self-enroll, follow these directions:
- Click to access the course.
- Log in to MyVWCC with your credentials.
- Click the Enroll In Course button.

Additional Tips
Here are some additional tips for a smooth start to the school year:
- Login to MyVWCC and check your Student Center for any remaining Info, Actions & Holds or To Do list items.
- Check your Virginia Western Email. Once you are enrolled in courses, you will have access to your student email account. You should check your campus email daily.
- Review the Academic Calendar.
- View/print Your Class Schedule in SIS.
- The list view of the schedule will include a link to view the textbooks you will need.
- The weekly calendar view will show a weekly view of your classes.
- Visit Campus and find your classes before the first day.
- Student IDs can be obtained once classes begin.
